Celebration of Raksha Bandhan with Swamiji, Strilky Ashram

The festival of Raksha Bandhan falls on the full moon day (Shravan Purnima) of the Shravan month of the Vedic lunar calendar. On Raksha Bandhan day, sisters tie a rakhi (thread bracelet) on her chosen brother's wrist. This symbolizes the sister's love and prayers for her brother, and the brother's commitment to protect her.

Memories of Sri Devpuriji-Strilky 30 July 2014

Sri Devpuriji was called Abunathswami, that is the title of a saint or yogi who is connected to the holy place Mount Abu in Rajasthan, India. The Nath tradition was founded by Matsyendranath and further developed by Yogi Gorakshnath.

Sri Devpuriji was also an Avadhuta saint – one who does not identify with his body, mind or any names and forms. Such a person is held to be pure consciousness. Avadhuta saints play a significant role in the history and rejuvenation of tradition of Sat Sanatan Dharma.

Celebrations in Strilky 29 July 2014

On the third day after the auspicious constellation of Amavasya, the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the mahasamadhi of Sri Devpuriji, the embodiment of Lord Shiva, was highlighted by H.H. Abunath Swami Maheshwarananda during satsang. ( His life story can be read in Lila Amrit.)

H.H. Abunathswami Maheshwarananda in Strilky Ashram

HH Abunathswami Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Maheshwarananda will lead the Summer Sadhana Camp seminar in Mahaprabhu Deep Ashram, Strilky, Czech Republic. The seminar started on Friday 25 July 2014 and lasts for one month. All techniques will be practiced in the seminar: asana, pranayama, kriya, meditation, and other traditional methods of the Yoga in Daily Life system. Programs for both beginners and advanced groups have been organised, as well as a special program for children.

Every day from 10:00-11:30 and 19:30-21:00 (local Czech time) there are live webcast with gurudev Abunathswami Maheshwaranandaji giving lectures on various topics.
