Vishwaguruji at 1st International Conference on Yoga and Ayurveda

Zagreb, 3-5 October 2021 – the Indian Embassy in Croatia, with the support of the Ministry of AYUSH, organized the 1st International Conference on Yoga and Ayurveda in Zagreb and Vishwaguruji was invited to give the keynote speech to the conference.

From 3 to 5 October, experts from India and Europe held a series of lectures and workshops on the topic of Ayurveda and Yoga, with a special focus on the current situation with the Covid-19 pandemic.

His Holiness Vishwaguru Paramhans Swami Maheshwaranandaji was invited to give a keynote speech to the conference as a guest of honour. Vishwaguruji concluded the conference by emphasising that the Science of Yoga, including yoga techniques for human health and well-being, should be available to all and that the true and authentic knowledge of yoga can be transmitted only from teacher to disciple through a continuous sequence of a parampara (spiritual lineage).

He noted that yoga is not just asanas, physical exercises and pranayama but that yoga is a holistic system and that the ultimate goal of yoga is the fulfilment of human life – the merging of the individual self with cosmic consciousness, the reunion of Atma and Paramatma.
