Weekend Seminar in Vép, Hungary
10-12 April 2015
His Holiness Vishwaguru Paramhans Swami Maheshwaranandaji paid a visit to Vép, in western Hungary, during the beautiful spring time, to give a Weekend Seminar to seekers from all over Europe.
In his inspiring satsangs Vishwaguruji pointed out the qualities that are considered obstacles on the spiritual path. Negative qualities – such as ego, jealousy, ignorance, greed, anger, fear and hatred – are like lower branches of a tree, easier to reach than the higher good qualities.
What can be the cure for these negative qualities? Vishwaguruji says, we should think over why we complain about others. Ask yourself how good you are, and try to understand why others are like they are. Spiritual development arises from constant observation of ourselves. When we awaken within, then it is possible to realise acceptance and to be humble.
Vishwaguruji also initiated a new project at this seminar: the Jiva Jantu Board – protection of all creatures has been created by Yoga in Daily Life and His Holiness Vishwaguruji for the protection of all animals and plants on Earth. With appropriate animal husbandry, Vishwaguruji means to protect and preserve the original animal species, both wild and domesticated.
The project will also actively promote saving original ‘heritage’ seeds, encouraging us all to grow them in our own gardens. With this localised act, we can preserve original seeds of fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices and grains for feeding future generations.
