HH Swamiji said: “If we want harmony and peace in our world, it is up to each individual to act at the grassroots level. Each life is the light of God, and awareness of this fact only comes when there is a clear consciousness, which can be achieved through the practice of mantras, prayers, yoga and following the principle of Ahimsa. It depends on us. We can make a difference.”

Peace Tree Planting ceremony was led by renowned environmentalist and Ambassador for Peace, His Holiness Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda, author of the worldwide recognized system Yoga in Daily Life, and Vienna City Councillor for the Environment Ulli Sima, with invited local officials and community leaders, at the City Park of Vienna.
At this occasion His Holiness was awarded a silver medal of honour of the City of Vienna with the image of the "Rathausmann", the city's landmark - for his long lasting merits for public health and world peace by the City Councillor.

The representative of the Indian Embassy in Vienna, Mr. Patnaik appreciated Swamiji's initiative of planting peace trees around the globe to remind people on their unity with nature and environment.
